Exile S-Glass Art Skimboard Overview
S-Glass stands for structural fiberglass. It is 30% stronger than regular fiberglass and about 15% stiffer. It also costs more than twice as much! But when you are buying a high end board it is important to pay a little extra for the things that will make it last. Our S-Glass skimboards have multiple layers of S-Glass on each side. This makes the board significantly stronger than a regular fiberglass board and a little bit stiffer too. *Core: Exile uses a fully crossed linked high density Polyvinyl Chloride foam core which prohibits water absorption if absorbed *Aircraft grade epoxy resin is used throughout the lamination processs to ensure the strength and durability of the laminate * Hybrid Rocker - These boards have a gradual nose rocker and nearly flat tail rocker. They are fast and turn well. They are the best all around choice for riding varied wave conditions. *Traditional Rocker - These boards have a rocker that is concentrated in the nose of the board. They perform well when speed is critical and/or the waves are small and weak.
